Recycling Change: Bi-weekly Collection starting January 2026

Starting in January 2026, blue bin collection will move to every two weeks for all 23 municipalities in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC that had received a one-year extension (while all other municipalities in Quebec have already made the switch).

The modernized recycling collection is an initiative introduced by Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ), mandated by the Government of Quebec, to optimize the management of recyclable materials throughout the province.

Need a 2nd blue bin? How to apply?
If your household produces a higher-than-average volume of recyclables, you may request a second blue bin free of charge if you meet at least one of the criterias:
- You have only one 240 L bin (not a 360 L one);
- Five (5) or more people reside full-time at your address;
- You are a foster family or a home-based daycare;
- Your residential dwelling includes a secondary commercial use authorized by the City;
- You or a member of your household has a particular condition, including a medical condition that, for example, results in frequent deliveries (boxes and other recyclable materials).
