By-Law: Watering

Drinking water is a precious resource which is why it’s so important to take care of it. So we must regulate its use. Moreover, a patrol ensure compliance with the watering regulation during the summer.

 

Note that no watering permit for the installation of a new lawn will be issued from July 1 to August 31 inclusively.

Allowed

You have the right to water your lawn and hedges with a sprinkler hose, porous hose or automatic system at any time between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm:

  • On odd days for odd addresses
  • On even days for even addresses

At any time, you can use a watering can or hose with a stopping device to water manually:

  • Your garden
  • Your flower boxes and planters
  • Your flowerbeds
  • Your trees and bushes

At any time, you can wash your car using a water bucket or a hose equipped with an automatic shutoff.

Forbidden

At any time, it is forbidden to wash car entrances, parking lots, sidewalks and patios.

It is forbidden to use a garden hose that flows continuously, with no stopping device.

Going on vacation? Do not forget to turn off your automatic watering device. Also make sure that your stopping device in case of rain is working properly before leaving.
