Social Development Policy and Action Plan
Social development is a set of means taken by society to enable people to reach their full potential and to participate in social life.
Municipal social development aims to build a supportive, inclusive and equitable community by strengthening connections among individuals and drawing on everyone’s strengths. Working with citizens and social development partners, the Town acts to improve quality of life and support the well-being of its population, with special attention given to more vulnerable individuals.
In short, the goal of social development is to contribute to every individual’s well-being and foster a sense of community and belonging.
Pincourt began its social development journey in 2013 with the adoption of its first Social Development Policy. Following numerous projects that brought citizens together, a new policy and action plan were adopted in 2022.
