Monarchs' garden

The Government of Canada listed the Monarch Butterfly (Danaus pleixppus) as endangered under the federal Species at Risk Act (SARA) in December 2023.[1]

The Town of Pincourt became a “Monarch Friendly Town”  in 2024 thanks to our actions to promote the butterfly's habitat, a certification given by the David Suzuki Foundation.

The first Monarch Garden is located in Parc Trotter. It is a melliferous garden with native plants rich in nectar, creating a suitable space for pollinators. Come take a look!
