Mandatory professional development program for elected officials
In accordance with section 15 of the Municipal Ethics and Professional Conduct Act, all members of a municipal council, whether elected or re-elected, must, within six months of the start of their first term and within nine months of any subsequent term, participate in training on municipal ethics and professional conduct, as well as on the role and responsibilities of municipal elected officials.
