On October 12, we look forward to seeing you at Fire Station 6 of the Pincourt/NDIP Fire Department for a day full of discovery and fun!


From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., come to 701, boul. Cardinal-Léger to explore fire trucks, take part in prevention activities, discover the department's specialties, and even take Urban Hero training.

There will be inflatable games for the younger ones, food, and door prizes.

 

Free training for Urban Heroes!

PURPOSE:
To teach people with no medical knowledge the essentials of saving a life.

REGISTRATION:
Training will be given at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Maximum 10 people per group. The training is suitable for participants aged 12 and over.
Training is given in French and English. A certificate of attendance will be mailed to you following the training.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
The 30-minute training includes theoretical presentations and hands-on activities. Presentations include images and video demonstrations to facilitate participants' understanding. Instructors also use mannequins and defibrillation machines during hands-on activities.

During training, participants learn to recognize the signs of complete airway obstruction and cardiorespiratory arrest. They also learn :

- The abdominal compression method (to clear the airway)

- Hands-only CPR

- How to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) Automated external defibrillator

- The 9-1-1 call
